High Class
A Very Special Vacation To Germany

In 1993, when I came for the first time to the US, my roundtrip from Munich
Germany to Tampa Florida USA did cost me 1400.- $. It was  a very special offer
from Delta Airlines. Today you can get your roundtrip ticket already as close as for
half price. The time is over, where a middle-class person could never visit a foreign
country, because of prices and tax. It becomes same cheap as flying from Austin,
Texas to St Louis, Missouri. Everybody can afford it.

But where would you go in Germany ?

Germany is a country of European history.
Since many hundreds of years, Germany
did build up his political structure, and was
always keeping things well organized and
pretty. Art, Gardens, Music and Castles were
always the big hobby of every other King.

Let’s look a little bit more closely.

Berlin, Hamburg, Duesseldorf and Frankfurt
are all younger cities (300 years is nothing),
and don’t show a lot of history, compared for
example to Munich. They have all their own
beauty and stories to tell, but Munich is defi-
nitively different. Munich is at least over 1200
years old. Munich comes from monk. And
from the monks came the most famous beer
in Germany. We don’t have all these monks
anymore, but to sit in the sun in a Biergarten
under the trees and relax, eat and drink, is a
very special adventure. Sometimes there is
some music, what makes it even more
special and fun.

In Munich you’ll find most of  the German culture and history, everything of importance
is just around the corner. You wouldn’t be a real American, if you wouldn’t know the
Disney Castle, isn’t it ? But where does it come from.

Munich’s last King Ludwig II, was the
biggest Castle Freak in German History,
he did possibly build this Castle with his
“own hands”, and it is not far from Munich.
All the sensations and historical places
around Munich are actually just a short
one-day-trip away. In Austria there is
Salzburg, which is just 70 miles away.
This is the best city in Austria. The
big castle, the Salzburg (salt burg),
sitting on a huge stony rock, is very
                                                                                         impressive. No enemy could ever
hardly make it. In middle of this rock,
getting up outside with a glass elevator,
is a beautiful restaurant, broken into
the stone. But the main thing of Salz-
burg is Amadeus Mozart and his music,
together with some very beautiful gardens.

Only 5 miles away from Salzburg is Berchtesgaden in Germany and also 8 miles away
Bad Reichenhall, where the main salt coverage for Germany comes from. It lies deep
inside the mountains, and you can visit in there the clean and beautiful salt lakes,
nicely lighted up from different sides in different colors, made into a big attraction.

There is also a lot of Roman and Celtic
history around Munich, Kelheim is
such a city at the Rhein River.

If you would go for a winter vacation,
you would find lots of high qualified
possibilities for some fantastic skiing.
But remain always thinking like a pro
and check on the snow conditions
first. There are the Alps and Austria,
and also Garmisch Partenkirchen in
Germany and many other places. In the
evening you will out-create yourself in
discos (après-ski), and you are mainly
drinking some delicious glue wine, to
relax your body for a good sleep.

There are many other things to tell, but I think you got the whole picture pretty good.
