City-Traveling
Italy’s Mediterranean Ocean Beaches
Vesuvius
One can find Italy's ideal Beach and Climate
conditions all around its peninsula. Though
getting more close to south, it is becoming
more intense, like it is on Capri or Sicily.

Most of the cities around Capri have lots of
attractions from the ancient time of the Roman
and the Greek civilizations. But there are also
later built historical places and Museums of
many kinds for visitors wanting to know. Bus
Services are set up for getting to all the attrac-
tions in each area. It is actually very exciting,
to use these opportunities and to undertake
for a day or two some historical explorations.
It is adding an unforgettable educational
impact to an enjoyable holiday time.

You can find these cities or areas on a Google
Map below and with more zooming in you
will get a real good reality about these loca-
tions and what is all happening over there.
It is definitely very different to the US.

One of the most exciting trips to Italy for some
awesome Summer Beach Vacations is the en-
tire area of Capri, Naples, Sorrento, Hercula-
neum and Pompeii. I personally would prefer
Capri or Sorrento for an unforgettable Beach
adventure, but would take Naples for getting
to all these other historical places with some
very easy daily excursions. For a longer holi-
day time of about 2 weeks or more one might
stay on Capri investing then a bit more travel
time to see Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii and
Herculaneum. Both could be a good choice.

Visiting Capri, you have to book your flight to
Naples, from where you take a ship getting to
this gorgeous island. It is not recommended
visiting Capri with a car, one has to park in
Naples and continue traveling by boat. For all
the inhabitants of Capri it is forbidden to drive
a car during the summer time. Everything is
just perfectly prepared for the tourism and
only here and there you may find a car with a
foreign registration. Capri consists of a huge
and high upstanding rock, sitting in middle of the coast line with some very special
colorful exotic vegetation and natural sightseeing.

Capri has outstanding beaches, many of them in little bays, where the beauty of
the entire environment let you experience the marvelous Mediterranean sun and
sea, surrounded by some of the world’s most fabulous scenery. Everywhere
around the coast of Capri you will find hidden bays, almost totally immersed in
semi tropical vegetation, some of which can only be reached by boat, superb
rocky terraces carved out of the cliff face, tiny sheltered pebble beaches and sun
soaked platforms, all just a stone’s throw away from the Faraglioni Rocks, the
Blue Grotto or the Punta Carena Lighthouse.

All of that makes Capri so wonderful and special.

But there are several historical places and buildings one should not miss at all.
In 29 B.C. Caesar Augustus was the one, who started using all the charm of Capri
as his very special private shelter. Him followed Caesar Tiberius, who continued
building the intense construction of 12 villas, where most of the artifacts can still
be seen today. Several other historical landmarks followed, and during the cen-
turies Capri and Naples were bound into their governing relations with the trades.
Finally in the 18th century Capri became the attraction for some world known
artists, writers and poets and is still today, a most famous place on earth.
Naples
(Napoli) is situated in the Bay of Naples and is giving
this area a very unique character with beautiful impressions,
becoming a special mixture of a stunning country side to-
gether with a legend Roman history. It is still present in many
places and should not to be missed.

There are several other locations close to Naples, which are
all magnificent villages belonging to the Amalfi Coast, a real
taste of southern Italy, with exquisite coastal landscapes.

Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello are the names of these impressive places,
where visitors from all over the world cannot hold back, giving them at least once
a visit. From the colorful architecture and many still existing historical ruins and
show grounds to gorgeous gardens and perfect landscaping. Sorrento with its
cliff-top position can utterly overlook the entire area, is giving great panoramic
views also over all the surrounding hills in the area. Similar in popularity, but with
their own unique attractions are also Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.

Naples nestles in middle of an absolute ancient historical region, where the Vesuvius
with Pompeii and Herculaneum is sitting on the one side, meanwhile having these
pretty islands Capri, Ischia and Procida on the other.  All that is giving an atmos-
phere of world known history still being alive, bound into paradise-like gorgeous
environments, never ending beaches and many other natural attractions.

The entire area is it worth spending several weeks of a great holiday time, to really
make sure to have seen, explored and learned a lot - with full personal excitement
and whole relaxation.

If the last point on a checklist would be visiting Rome, it is only a 2,5 hours trip
away from there.

Work it out early enough planing your trip and book your Flight/Hotel as soon as
possible this year. Your loved ones will be very thankful for that.
